President Lahoud denounces new Israeli aggression against Haboush
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 5/4/2000

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on Wednesday denounced the "ugly crime" committed by Israel on Wednesday against Haboush town.

The Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday launched a series of raids which targeted the town of Habboush, and the attacks resulted in wounding 14 civilians, including several children.

In a statement in Beirut, the Lebanese president said the "Israeli enemy cannot use any pretext to justify its ugly crime committed against the innocent civilians in Habboush and therefore this crime cannot convince any that Israel is seeking peace and security."

Lahoud commended the heroism of the Lebanese Army and resistance who confront the Israeli aggressions. He gave his instructions to the Ministry of Health to give medical treatment to the wounded at the expense of the ministry.
