European mission visits Algeria

A mission from the European Union under the chairmanship of the Portuguese ambassador, Pawlo Pariosa, coordinator of Barcelona process, is to arrive today in Algeria on a visit during which he is to hold talks with Algerian officials.
The visit aims at preparing for the informal meeting for the foreign ministers of the Barcelona process that is scheduled to be held in Barcelona on May 25- 26.
The visit will be a chance to learn about Algeria's point of view concerning the steps that have been taken so far concerning the Barcelona process, which is related to the peace and stability charter and combating terrorism in the Mediterranean basin states.
