Bahraini foreign minister confers with Ashrawi

Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khalifa met on Monday with Palestinian Legislative Council member Hanan Ashrawi, currently visiting Manama.
The Gulf News Agency said that the Bahraini minister stressed during the meeting the position of the state of Bahrain in backing the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate rights and to the establishment of their own independent state with Jerusalem as a capital.
For her part, Ashrawi expressed her thanks and appreciation of the PLC and the Palestinian people to the state of Bahrain for its stand in backing the cause of Palestine. She expressed best wishes for Bahrain's progress and development.
