Moroccan and Algerian interior ministers probe means to upgrade cooperation

Moroccan Interior Minister Ahmed El Midaoui who paid on Saturday a brief visit to Algeria, probed with his Algerian peer, Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni, "issues of shared interest and means to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields."
A joint statement said the two North African officials "stressed the need to define a rigorous working methodology to handle, in a pragmatic way, issues related to the living and settlement conditions of the two countries' nationals and the consolidation of security cooperation."
The release stressed that the two sides were motivated by a will to establish balanced, renovated and trustful relations between the two states, in the frame of the Maghreb construction dynamic, in keeping with orientations of the two countries' heads of state.
The Moroccan official said his visit to Algiers was decided with the Algerian interior minister whom he met during his visit last January to Algiers to participate in the 17th session of the Arab League 17th interior ministerial council.
