Nasrallah: Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon a result of resistance effort
Lebanon-Israel-UN, Politics, 4/29/2000
Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hizbullah, asserted that the Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon is a result of the Lebanese resistance in Lebanon, adding that the resistance is the one that impose the withdrawal on Israel by making it afraid to remain in the Lebanese lands.
Meanwhile, Terje Larsen, the special envoy of the UN secretary general, met yesterday with general Shaoul Mofaz, Israeli chief of staff, to discuss the arrangements for withdrawal.
Larsen called during his meeting yesterday with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak for Israel to clear the minefields planted in the occupied area of south Lebanon, which is currently being studied by Israeli fronts.
