Continuing battles between opposition and governmental troops in Sudan

The opposition alliance in Sudan said its troops seized military headquarters affiliated to the governmental troops in the eastern part of the country.
The National Democratic Alliance added in a statement that its troops seized Ossman Denka camp, north of Kasla, after confronting an attack by the government's troops previously this week.
The statement said the alliance captured five government soldiers.
This coincides with the World Food Program's call on the international community to grant urgent food aid to 1.7 million persons that are threatened by famine.
