Libya-Regional, Politics, 4/29/2000
Colonel Moammar Gaddafi, leader of the Libyan revolution, said he no longer objects the Arab states joining NATO (the North Atlantic Treaty Organization), saying in a speech that was televised by Libyan television yesterday evening from Sert city that "We were objecting to US military maneuvers with Arab countries, yet now we see that any maneuver will not turn to be against us because there are Arab intimate countries participating in it."
