Egyptian journalists union decides to boycott international conference for press

The Egyptian journalists union council issued in its urgent meeting yesterday a statement in which it announced that it will boycott the international union's conference for the press councils, which ended its works today.

The Egyptian journalists union was surprised by the participation of a delegation that represents the Israeli press council in meetings of the 7th session of the conference.

Ragaie El-Merghani, the under secretary of the union, stated that the syndicate council decided to boycott the conference to commit to successive resolutions of the public associations which banned members of the union from all forms of vocational, personal and union normalization with Israeli organizations and corporations until the liberation fo all occupied Arab lands.
