Gulf Summit today in Muscat

The leaders of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states are discussing today in Muscat GCC relations with Iran and military cooperation with the USA.
Soleiman Maged El-Shahin, the Kuwaiti minister of state for foreign affairs, said the Gulf consultative summit which started today in Oman will be an open one that will discuss all the issues raised in the gulf and regional arenas.
El-Shahin said the Gulf summits are fraternal meetings that work for the good of the GCC and the Arab states as a whole, adding that optimism and looking forward to a better future always prevail in the Gulf summit meetings.
