Project to restoring Hatshipsut to open in November
Egypt, Culture, 4/29/2000
Egyptian Culture Minister Farouk Hosni decided to establish a universal celebration in November to open a restoration project for Queen Hatshipsut's temple in Dier El-Bahari after the completion of 40 years of work to revitalize one of the most important pharonic temples, which is nearly 36,000 years old.
The restoration was carried out by a Polish mission at a cost that reached 40 million LE from the Supreme Council for Archeology, which is affiliated to the Egyptian Culture Ministry.
