Arab union for steel convenes in Algeria

The Arab union for steel is due to convene its meetings in Algeria at the beginning of May to discuss means of enhancing technical and economic cooperation among the Arab states in the fields of the iron and steel industries and the possibility of establishing joint projects in this field among Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Egypt as well as exchanging experiences in the iron industry.
Adel El-Ranef, head of the union, said it was decided to open a regional bureau for the union in Damascus to contribute to training the workers in the Syrian steel factories and companies.
