Moroccan homeless children association raises funds

Moroccan association for homeless children AMESIP will launch a fund raising campaign in schools from, May 8 through 31.
The operation dubbed "Sun 2000" will at the same time raise funds and promote children's awareness of the problem of homeless children by enhancing their civic and solidarity spirits, said the association secretary general at a press conference Wednesday.
The association will distribute 100,000 boxes in the schools of 21 cities for children to deposit yellow coins (coins of 5, 10 and 20 centimes).
AMESIP, a non-profit association, was set up in 1996 to help homeless children or others facing difficulties. It has opened three shelters where boarders live and attend classes.
