Morocco hosts Arab conference on women, poverty

The Arab League has accepted Morocco's candidacy to host next May an Arab conference on "women and poverty." The announcement was made by the chairwoman of the Arab League's consultative technical commission on Arab women at the end of the commission's 25th session Thursday in Cairo. Representatives of 17 Arab states met, since Sunday, to probe several women issues in the Arab world, mainly coordination of Arab states' stances in international encounters.
