Yemen studying shifting authority to local areas

A Republican decree was issued in Yemen yesterday on the formation of a preparatory board for a transfer to a system of local authority, the Yemeni news agency, Saba, reported, adding that the board will study economic and social growth in governorates and districts and identify those that are not ready to receive certain central powers.
