Islamic universities hold meeting in Iran

The federation of the world's Islamic Universities opened this Friday the 5th session of its executive council.
The three-day meeting will examine the federation's draft action plan for 2001-2003 and other issues related to the promotion of scientific research, the Rabat-based Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) said in a release.
The federation musters 147 member universities. it's executive council is chaired by Abdelouahed Belkziz, dean of the Moroccan Mohammed V University of Rabat. Eleven Islamic universities are represented in the council.
