Morocco, Germany hold economy forum next October

Morocco and Germany will hold an economic forum in Berlin next October, the German Afrika Verein Association announced in its Agenda 2000.
The forum is part of the drives geared towards stronger economic ties between the two countries.
Germany's imports from Morocco stood at 996.3 million Deutsch Marks in 1999, while exports were worth more than 1 billion.
Afrika Verein Association is currently holding a German-Southern African forum, attended by heads of state and government of 14 countries.
Germany's overall imports from Africa stood at 16.6 billion Deutsch Marks compared to 18.8 billion in exports. German imports from the continent represent only 1.95% of the European country's global sales, while exports from Africa account for 2.27 of Berlin's international purchases.
