Israel continues aggressions against south Lebanon, one resistance man killed
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 4/28/2000

The Israeli forces on Thursday continued their aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon and its western Bekaa.

Lebanese security sources said the occupation artillery targeted on Thursday morning the heights of al-Jabour, and Abu Rashid in the southwestern area of the western Bekaa, firing 15 shells, and the bombardment was coupled with mopping-up operations targeting the Litani river course and the surroundings of al-Dallafeh woods.

The Israeli artillery also bombarded Kafra and Yater towns, Wadi al-Arab, Meiramin and al-Ein district and the woods of Yater town, Jib Sweid al-Shiteyah triangle, Zibqin and al-Botoum mount, and the bombardment resulted in losses in the targeted farms and plantation.

Meanwhile, the Israeli jets flew in the airspace of the western Bekaa at intermediate altitude and dropped thermal balloons to avert fires of the Lebanese army anti-aircraft missiles.

The Lebanese national resistance said that one of its members died on Thursday morning of wounds he received on Wednesday while confronting the Israeli warplanes in the hills of the western Bekaa.

In a statement, the Lebanese national resistance said that Hasanatu Rizq was born in Mashghara in 1976. He joined the ranks of the Lebanese resistance in 1993 and took part in several operations against the Israeli occupation forces and their agents.
