Saudi Arabia to give women the same rights given to men

Saudi Minister of the Interior Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz has stated that the government will spare no efforts for the good of Saudi women. He added that these include having a special identity card and rights to early retirement, maternity leave and all rights given to the man, according to enforced rules and regulations in the kingdom.
This was expressed in an open television dialogue held on Wednesday between Prince Nayef and female students of the faculty of education in Riyadh. In this dialogue the Saudi minister of the interior called on the family to carry out its educational role in immunizing its daughters and sons against phenomenon, due to the Saudi traditions.
Replying to a question on the preventive measures taken by the Saudi state to end bad conduct by female students in being drug addicts, the Saudi minister said that such behavior is a result of necessary care and follow up of the family.
The Saudi minister stressed that Saudi working women have all rights held by men, including financial rights after death, according to Saudi regulations.
