King Mohammed receives US admiral

King Mohammed VI received on Tuesday in the northern Moroccan city of Tangier Admiral Charles S. Abbot, deputy commander in chief of the US European Command. Admiral Abbot arrived Monday in Morocco for a three-day visit, during which he will confer with officials on ways to enhance Moroccan-US relations.
The audience was attended by delegate minister in charge of national defense, Abderrahmane Sbai, US ambassador to Morocco Edward Gabriel, and high-ranking military officers.
The admiral supervises the daily activities of the unified command in a zone covering 89 countries.
