Israel continues aggression against south Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday arrested Mustafa Nabaa, Hassan Mustafa Nabaa and Muhammad Qasem Nabaa from the occupied town of Shabaa.

News reports from the occupied part of south Lebanon said the three detainees had served in the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia until almost one month ago. The detainees were taken to al-Khiam camp.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday renewed their aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources stated the Israeli artillery positioned in Teir Harfa bombarded on Tuesday Meiramin valley, al-Assi district and the outskirts of Kafra and Yater towns, using heavy shells.

Further reports from south Lebanon stated that the Israeli occupation forces have continued striking the suburbs of Barachit town and al-Zaatar mountain as well as the forests of Tebnin town.

The shelling was coupled with a mopping-up campaign from the suburbs of Barachit to the south.

Later in the day, Lebanese citizen Muhammad Darwish from Shaqra town in south Lebanon was wounded as a result of the bombardment, according to Lebanese security sources.

Eita al-Jabal, Hadatha, Slawqi, Hajir and Qeseyah valleys also came under the Israeli bombardment, the sources added.

In retaliation, a Lebanese resistance group on Tuesday attacked Hawla position recently set up by the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

In a statement the Lebanese resistance said the attack resulted in wounding several Israeli soldiers and demolishing the basic fortifications of this position.

This attack, however, is a new violation of all measures of protection carried out by the Israeli occupation forces and their agents to their position inside the occupied part of south Lebanon.

On Tuesday morning the Lebanese resistance attacked Israeli military vehicles inside and in the surroundings of the Israeli al-Tibe project, using rockets.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said direct hits were achieved against the positions of the Israeli occupation forces and their militia allies in Shama', Teir Harfa, and Balat. Direct hits were achieved in the fortifications of the positions.
