King Abdullah meets Arafat

King Abdullah II of Jordan visited areas of the Palestinian Authority where he held discussions with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
His visit comes nearly 48 hours after his first visit to Israel since he assumed power, as he held talks with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak which tackled the peace process in the Middle East.
Nabeel Abu Rodinah, the advisor of president, said the visit comes in the continuous consultation and coordination between the Palestinian and the Jordanian leadership concerning the peace process and that there are permanent communications and mutual visits between the two leaders and that two days ago a Palestinian envoy was in Jordan to inform King Abdullah of the results of his meetings Washington.
