Kuwait not upset by opening of Gulf embassies in Baghdad
Kuwait-Regional, Politics, 4/25/2000

Gassem El-Kharafi, head of the Kuwaiti Ummah council, stated that his country is not upset toward the opening of embassies in Baghdad by Gulf states and the resumption of economic and diplomatic relations with Baghdad.

In statements to the Kuwaiti satellite television station he said the procedures taken by the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman are their right and that Kuwait should not interfere in these matters. He asked these countries to work with Baghdad on applying all resolutions of the international legitimacy which are still valid.
