Moroccan port staff resumes work Monday
Morocco, Economics, 4/25/2000
Moroccan ports staff resumed on Monday their work following an agreement reached between the government, trade unions and the employers association, the Employment Ministry announced.
The source said in addition to the end of the strike, it was decided to convene next month a meeting between the ports authority ODEP management, and two trade unions CDT and UGTM.
The meeting, held under the chairmanship of Khalid Alioua, social development, solidarity, employment and vocational training minister, in his capacity as chairman of the social dialogue commission, will look into the dockers' social grievances which were behind a strike started on April 12.
