Iran denies contacts with Israel
Iran-Israel, Politics, 4/25/2000
The official spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hamid Rida Asifi, has denied what was stated by the US "Washington Post" report on secret talks and meetings between Iranian and Israeli officials on Iranian debts that should be paid by Israel and the question of the 13 Jews who are accused of spying for the Israeli intelligence.
In a statement to the Iranian daily Akhtab Amrouz issued on Monday, the Iranian spokesman stated that Iran is still committed to its stand concerning Israel and refuses any sort of contact with it, "on the grounds of its non-recognition of this entity."
