Syrian - Saudi free trade zone opened

Works of the Syrian - Saudi technical committee in charge of working out a draft agreement for the establishment of a free trade zone between the two states were concluded on Sunday, following two days of deliberations.
After discussing the draft agreement, the two sides stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two states in the area of trade exchange.
The Syrian side was led by the deputy minister of the economy and foreign trade Shebli Abu al-Fakher, while the Saudi side was chaired by the minister of finance and the national economy Hamid Suleiman al-Bazi.
