Algerian minister escapes assassination attempt

The Algerian paper La Tribune has reported that Algerian Minister of Agriculture Said Barkat on Friday escaped a bomb attack carried out in Blida district, 50 km south of the capital, Algiers.
The paper added that the bomb went off just a few minutes after Barkat had left the place at a site he had visited with members of his team, and the explosion resulted in wounding a municipal guard.
The explosion took place at Maqta al-Azraq district near the al-Sharia mounts which shelter armed group members belonging to Antar al-Zawabri.
