Iraqi foreign minister gets UAE message

Iraqi Foreign Minister Muhammad Said al-Sahaf on Sunday received a message from his counterpart in the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed al-Thani, pertaining to means of developing relations between the two countries.

Iraqi official sources said the charge de affairs of the UAE in Baghdad, Ahmad Bin Abdullah Bin Said, gave al-Sahaf the message.

Last Thursday the UAE reopened its Baghdad embassy which was closed in 1990, and therefore it has become the fourth state in the Gulf Cooperation Council after Oman, Qatar and Bahrain to have a diplomatic representation office in Iraq.
