Palestinian official: Jerusalem is a part of the Palestinian lands

Ahmed Abd El-Rahman, secretary general of the Palestinian Cabinet, asserted that Jerusalem is an integral part of the Palestinian territories that were occupied in 1967 to which UN Security Council resolution 242 applies.
He said that Palestinian President Yasser Arafat will ask US President Bill Clinton to play the same role which he played in the Wye River talks and that the Palestinian state will be announced in a few months.
He said the Palestinians are telling Clinton that this state is the real guarantee of peace, and the condition to establish this state is the Israeli withdrawal from all the lands occupied on June 4, 1967 commitment to the legal resolutions concerning the refugees and other issues.
