Syrian - Lebanese symposium on informatics

Under the patronage of Bashar al-Assad, chairman of the Syrian informatics society, the Syrian- Lebanese symposium on informatics will be held in Damascus and Beirut on April 25 through 28. It is organized by the Syrian informatics society and the Lebanese gathering for informatics.

The chairman of the Lebanese gathering for informatics, Asaad Diab, and the deputy chairman of the Syrian informatics society, Ghassan al-Laham, stressed in a press conference held in Beirut on Saturday at the Lebanese University in Beirut that the meeting will be opened under the patronage of Bashar al-Assad in Damascus on April 25 at al-Assad library and will last until the 26th and will complete its works at UNESCO's premises in Beirut on April 28 and 29.

The two Syrian and Lebanese officials stated that the symposium aims at surveying informatics conditions in Syria and Lebanon under main challenges they face with the emergence of globalization.
