African ministers meet in Algeria

Works of the 23rd session of the committee of the African ministers of labor and social affairs of the Organization of African Unity started on Monday in Algiers.

During their meetings, which will last for three days, the ministers will discuss work mechanisms to absorb unemployment and to ratify agreement no. 182 on putting an end to child labor in Africa, besides problems facing rural women.

In this regard, a mechanism will be designed to improve the conditions of rural women through dealing with the issues of equality, discrimination and drawing development projects and programs in order to improve women's educational levels and ensure health care for them.

Some 370 persons representing 53 African states and 24 African states concerned in the fields of labor and social affairs are participating.
