Ambassador Hussein Hassona, head of Arab League Mission to the United Nations said that there would be a unified Arab stand calling for all M.E. countries to join NPT, which has been already joined by all Arab states.

The Arab states will ask the conference to take necessary measures for Israel to access this treaty. This will ensure that NPT will beapplicable to all countries of the region without any exception.

The Arab states call Israel for giving up nuclear weapons as astipulation for maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East.

Hassona further added that the conference will discuss guarantees for non- nuclear countries and Arab states will call for supporting developing countries potentials to use nuclear power for peaceful purposes.
