Peace conference on Somalia this month

Egypt will participate in the Somali peace conference on April 20 in Djibouti in which representatives of opposing Somali factions, the Arab League, the UN, the European Commission, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development, Egypt, Ethiopia and the Organization of African Unity will participate. Egyptian sources said this conference comes as part of the initiative of Ismael Omar Guelleh, president of Djibouti, to solve the Somali problem and create the basis for peace and stability among the factions.
