May meeting in Cairo to discuss mechanism for convening Arab summit

The Arab ministerial committee formed to discussing the mechanism for convening an Arab summit will convene in Cairo during the first week of May.
The committee's membership comprises Oman, Egypt, Tunisia, Syria and Yemen.
Mostafa El-Feki, the Egyptian assistant foreign minister for Arab affairs, said that Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid will participate in these meetings to discuss Yemen's proposal to convene this summit in March every year and form a permanent council for the Arab heads of state, princes and kings to be on the highest administrative level in the AL, as the council would discusses major strategic issues, cooperation issues, Arab solidarity and coordination of policies in international circles.
