Germany seizes 450 kg of cannabis smuggled in from Morocco

German customs agents have recently seized in Emmerich, western Germany, 450 kg of cannabis smuggled in from Morocco.
The substance, worth 5 million deutsche marks (DM), was concealed in orange juice packs.
A 50 year-Dutch citizen holding a firm in Morocco and a German businesswoman were arrested and the lorry impounded.
In 1998-1999, the German customs seized 2 tons of cannabis smuggled in juice packs. The drug trafficking mastermind is reportedly settled in the Netherlands.
