Barak agrees on giving U.S.A a bigger role in the peace process

One of the Israeli high ranking officials who escorted Ehud Barak the Israeli prime minister to Washington - lately said that Barak agreed on a proposal presented by U.S President Bill Clinton during their meeting in Washington to give the U.S.A a bigger role in mediating in the peace negotiations with the Palestinians.
The officials who refused mentioning his name - said that this agreement aims at enabling the two negotiation teams in Washington to reach an agreement in the specific time in coming May to pave the way for the final settlement in coming September.
It is worthy to mention, that the negotiations of the two sides are still stumbled with wide gapes especially concerning Jerusalem, the refugees' issue, the water and borders of the Palestinian state.
