Palestinians and Canada deny Israel allegations of Canada's consent on settling 15,000 refugees
Palestine-Israel-Canada, Politics, 4/13/2000

Official Israeli sources revealed yesterday that the Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien agreed during his meeting with the Israel Prime Minister Ihud Barak last Sunday - that Canada would receive 15,000 Palestinian refugees in the frame of international efforts to solve the Palestinian refugees problem, yet the Canadian immigration ministress Elinor Caplan negated yesterday declarations of the Israeli officials by saying "they are not true."

This is at a time in which secretary of the Palestinian cabinet Ahmed Abd El-Rahman assured that the Palestinian government refuses the proposal of the Canadian prime minister to receive 15,000 Palestinian refugees as Abd El-Rahman asserted that the Palestinian government adheres to right of return for all the refugees according to resolutions of the international legitimacy.
