Israeli president retiring soon
Israel, Politics, 4/13/2000
Informed sources in Israel revealed yesterday that the Israeli President Ezer Weizman intends to retire in the coming fall expecting that he would inform the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and head of the Knesset with his decision.
Weizman's second ruling period was decided to end in year 2003 yet he decided advancing his retirement after getting involved in a financial scandal despite of the prosecution verdict dropping the charges against him and not criminally charging him.
