Sudanese opposition party to elect its political bureau members

Sources from the Sudanese opposition Ummah Party stressed this party started measures to establish a new political bureau composed of 50 members in order to lead the party's work in the coming phase.
The official in charge of foreign relations at this party, Mubarak al-Mahdi, said that the establishment of the new bureau will be achieved through direct elections from faculties representing the parliamentary commissions of the party and the Sudanese estates. He added that leaders of this party who arrived back from outside Sudan will meet with the parliamentary commission, which includes the party's representative at the parliament. He stressed that the commission selected its representatives to the political bureau and elected an executive bureau for its leadership led by Muhammad Jebara Midwe, before the leaders of the party arrived from abroad.
Mubarak al-Mahdi said that leaders of the party are in a state of continued meetings with various party activities in the capital, Khartoum, and that they will start to move to visits the party's grassroots in the Sudanese territories outside the capital.
