Sudanese government agrees on draft law to combat terrorism

The Sudanese Cabinet agreed on a draft law for combating terrorism that was presented by Minister of Interior Abd El-Rehim Mohammed Hussein.
The Sudanese draft law identified terrorist crimes of comprising threats and skyjacking, and it has provided for strict penalties that reach the death sentence against terrorists as Sudan aims to persuade the world that it is not a sponsor of terrorism.
The Sudanese interior minister signed a similar Arab draft law that was ratified by the Arab league, and he said at that time that his country is strongly in support of the law because Sudan is a victim of terrorism and not its sponsor, as foreign fronts rumored.
