Speaker of Yemeni Parliament in Kuwait

Yemeni Parliament Speaker Abdullah al-Ahmar arrived in Kuwait on Monday to hold talks aimed at improving relations between Kuwait and Yemen.
Sheikh al-Ahmar, visiting Kuwait for the first time since the Gulf crisis in 1990, said, "I hope my visit would contribute to strengthening cooperation and improving brotherly relations between the two countries."
He continued that his country is ready "to contribute to the efforts aiming at releasing the prisoners of war who were taken by Baghdad upon its occupation of Kuwait."
A Kuwaiti official source said on Monday that the ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah, and Crown Prince Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah will meet with Sheikh al-Ahmar today.
