Lebanese president confers with French envoy

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud received the chairman of the Middle East and North Africa department at the French Foreign Ministry, Yves Dola Mesoziar, accompanied by the French ambassador to Lebanon on Monday at Beirut's presidential palace.

Bilateral relations between the two countries and developments in the Middle East peace process were reviewed during the meeting.

Earlier in the day, Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss received the French official.

Bilateral relations and Middle East peace process developments were reviewed.
