Tennis: Morocco qualifies for Davis Cup play offs

Morocco defeated Ukraine 3-2 over the weekend here, booking ticket to the Davis Cup World Group Play offs, next July.
The Moroccans had to wait for Hicham Arazi's magic left hand to survive. Their Number 1 player, Younes Al-Aynaoui, failed to make the difference against Ukraine's veteran Medvedev. Al-Aynaoui's loss levelled the two sides 2-2.
Arazi's match against Orest Tereschuk was a walkover. He dominated his Ukraine contender, winning the first set in 6-4.
The Moroccan, whose left hand and highly technical play recall US John Mc Enroe, completely destroyed Tereschuk in the second set (6-0) and in the third in 6-1.
This is the second time Morocco qualifies for the Davis Cup World Group play offs, after 1995 against France.
