Syrian premier inspects passport, crossing centers

Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro on Sunday visited the border immigration center of Naseeb town in Dara province, on the border with Jordan.
Starting his tour, the premier visited the crossing from Syria to Jordan. He was briefed on the work progress and the facilities made before the Arab and foreign visitors.
The premier then visited the entrance to Syria, where he was also briefed on the way of handling and dealing persons entering Syria. Following his tour, the premier chaired a meeting at the center's hall, attended by his companions and the center's staff.
He stressed that border centers in Syria are "a civilization front and important economic utility, pointing out that the mechanism of dealing with visitors has great effect on the ties between Syria and countries from where the visitors have come."
The premier also, later in the day, visited the Damascus department of the passports and immigration administration, where he asserted the need of abiding by the instructions which control and organize the process of granting passports, visa, tourist and permanent stay.
