Tunisia welcomes Italy's decision to grant 3,000 work visas

The Tunisian government welcomed Italy's decision to grant 3,000 work visas to the Tunisian expatriates in Italy to reduce illegal immigration from Tunis to Rome.
According to this decision, 3,000 Tunisians will be allowed to move to Italy under legal protection that enables them to work in the fields of nursing, tourism services and traditional industries.
This decision comes after several problems concerning illegal immigration from Tunisia, due to which some of those trying to immigrate died on boats that were secretly moving them to the Italian coasts.
