Gulf ministerial council to be held in Jeddah

Kuwaiti Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Suleiman Majid al-Shahin has announced that the ministerial council of the Arab Gulf states will hold its 74th session in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, due to start today and last for two days.

In an interview with Sawt al-Arab radio, the Kuwaiti minister added that the council will discuss several issues, foremost being the Middle East peace process and relations between Iraq and Iran.

During this session, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) foreign ministers will discuss the latest developments concerning the Middle East peace process and Israeli stubbornness concerning it, stressing the restoration of legitimate Arab rights and the importance of Israel's commitment to the implementation of all international legitimacy concerned, the land-for-peace formula and other Arab and international issues of mutual concern.
