Insuring two million Egyptians abroad

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry finished making a special study of insuring the Egyptian workers abroad who number 2.9 million in the Gulf states and 100,000 in other countries, as all those workers will be insured against their sudden return home and death as well as incapacity and any other problems that might happen to them abroad.
A specific amount will be collected annually when renewing their work licenses through the specialized department, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Interior.
Asem Megahed, the assistant foreign minister for the affairs of Egyptians abroad stated that, "There are many Egyptian fronts, organizations and ministries participated in preparing this project that will be soon ratified by the Egyptian People's Assembly."
