IBM cooperates with Egyptian companies to produce computer software

IBM (US) company reached an agreement with the Egyptian Assembly for Computer Programming Companies (seven companies) for joint production of computer software in Egypt, the Middle East, North Africa and in the Arab states of $3 million annually in the first stage of the agreement, which lasts for three years.
Adel El-Ghannam, head of the Egyptian consortium, said it is expected that production will start in May and that 50% of production will be specified for export. He said there are other negotiations with international companies in the computer software industry to produce and market their products in the area.
