Palestinian government refuses to shelter elements of South Lebanon Army militia
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 4/5/2000

Ahmed Abd El-Rahman, secretary general of the Palestinian Cabinet, commented on news that Israeli fronts are studying the possibility of moving elements of the pro-Israel South Lebanon Army militia to settlement areas, and that their place is dunghill of the history neither Palestine's land nor Lebanon's, adding that this declaration is like launching war on the Palestinian lands and a hostile stance that is not acceptable either by the authorities or by the Palestinian people.

El-Rahman depicted elements of this militia as traitors and depicted the proposal as lies coming from settlers that are unworthy to be replied to, adding that these settlers know that the settlements are illegal because they violate international law and signed agreements.
