Abdullah Saleh to visit Tehran soon

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh is due to head to Tehran soon for talks on the new relations between Iran and Yemen and the Arab states. He is to meet with Mohammed Khatami, his Iranian counterpart, during the visit.

The Iranian president excluded fulfilling the invitation addressed to him by the Yemeni president to participate in celebration the on 10th anniversary of the unification of Yemen, yet he said that a high-ranking delegation representing Iran will participate in these celebrations.

The Iranian president received a message from the Yemeni president that was conveyed by Yemeni Information Minister Abd al-Rahman al-Akwa, who is resuming his tour of the area to convey invitations for participation in these celebrations.

The Yemeni president's envoy is due to arrive in Cairo soon, carrying a message from the Yemeni president to the Egyptian president to participate in these celebrations.
