Africa-Europe Summit marks serious step to forge institutional ties

The African-Europe Summit is the first of its kind to bring together heads of the European Union (EU) States and their African counterparts," Osama El-Baz said. "The two sides are bound by a common desire to promote cooperation and establish solid partnership," El Baz added. This is the first time Europe deals with African states as a unified group, El-Baz said in statements on the sidelines of the summit, currently being hosted in Cairo.
